LATROBE VALLEY EISTEDDFOD - WINNERS!

We are thrilled to have placed first in both the A and B Grade sections at the Latrobe Valley Eisteddfod today!
And even more thrilled to see Dandenong Brass compete in their first competition as a registered Band in the Junior Brass section! Congratulations to all the Dandenong Brass members, helpers, tutors, Committee, and wonderful Musical Director - Rachael Shineton.
A huge thank you to all our Band Members, helpers, supporters, & Committee. We also want to say a big thank you to the Eisteddfod organisers & volunteers, the Victorian Bands' League, adjudicator - Louisa Trewartha, sponsor of both sections - the Keith Chenhall Chariatable Trust, and all of the other bands who performed today.
It's always a great event and weekend - this year was no exception! An event which we hope can continue for many years into the future.

Victoria State Band Championships 2024 Recap
The band are thrilled with their 2nd Place 🥈in the B Grade section against some fantastic competition on Saturday night. We would love to congratulate Geelong West Brass Band on their win as well as Box Hill City Band on their wonderful performance.
We had a world premiere performance with our Own Choice selection ‘Limerence’ composed by our super talented Repiano Cornet player Jeff McGann, it was fair to say the group really enjoyed playing this and will look to upload a copy of the performance in the coming days on our socials.
We thank our wonderful family, friends and supporters of the members for all their support allowing the band to do what we can do it is most appreciated. A massive thank you to our brilliant MD Jamie Lawson for the countless hours put in getting the band performance ready.
We are incredibly grateful to the Victorian Bands' League and their organisers and volunteers for a very well run event and playing in a beautiful venue at the Hawthorn Arts Centre.
Lastly, a massive shoutout to Tim and his team from Brassbanned for the tireless work running the livestream for those to watch online thank you!​

2024 OPEN AIR MOVIES PRE-SHOW CONCERT!

Well we've had a wonderful start to the year, kicking off February with our first gig of 2024!
Dandenong Brass were given the opportunity to play a 20 minute set at the Open Air Movies Event out the front of Springvale City Hall on Friday 16th of February run by the City of Greater Dandenong Council.
Using our repertoire of songs, we dazzled the crowd with music like Shake it Off by Taylor Swift to movie blockbusters like Soul Bossa Nova and several others. It's always great fun playing well known pieces of music to a welcoming audience.
Playing to approximately 290 people in the audience before getting the chance to watch the Super Mario Movie outdoors in the open air, was a blast for all involved.
It was an absolute pleasure to be a part of such a wonderful community event. We look forward to many more opportunities, and events to play at coming up in the near future.
