As well as playing percussion, Nicole also plays cornet, horn and trombone and began her playing career at age 14. Nicole first met her husband Michael in the early 1990's when they played together in Kew Band before Nicole went into 'retirement'. A Primary School teacher by day, Nicole has recently come out of retirement under what her husband calls 'the spousal clause' . This requires her to play when asked, what she is asked. Although vehemently denying that it applies, Nicole has been most gracious in accepting her role within the band and is thoroughly enjoying her playing.
